Pretty in Pink

Since October is national breast cancer awareness month, I thought I would dedicate this post to Auntie Debbie. It has been 10 years since she passed away and has been sadly missed by many. This is her song and I don't think any of us can hear it and not remember her with a smile. As she taught all of her neices and nephews when she babysat, "Debbie's great!" :@

On the front page of today's Hibbing Tribune were two women from my graduating class who had battled cancer this year. It seems everybody is touched in some way by this disease.

I created these little slippers for a friend of a friend. She is a breast cancer survivor who was having a fuzzy slipper kind of week. Hopefully, they will light up her day when she receives them in the mail.

Hats off to all the women currently battling this disease and to those who have won the battle!!

We will never forget those we have lost.

Baby Bonanza

Lucky me, I'm probably the only one who has the day off after our girl weekend!

A great big thank you to Julie ( with much help from Jeremy ) for hosting the baby bash for mommy-to-be Megan. We girls had a lovely bonding weekend , ending with the baby shower on Sunday. We did a little antiquing, lots of eating, and plenty of laughing.

It seems like yesterday that our girls were babies and now they are married and starting their own families. Here are a few pictures of the "girls" in our family before the guests arrived.

Me, Megan ( and baby), and Julie.

Grammy and grandaughters.

Jacky and Ashley.

Mom and daughters.

Me and Megan.

The girls with creepy baby doll.

and now.

Happy second anniversary Megan and Dave!!!!
