Since October is national breast cancer awareness month, I thought I would dedicate this post to Auntie Debbie. It has been 10 years since she passed away and has been sadly missed by many. This is her song and I don't think any of us can hear it and not remember her with a smile. As she taught all of her neices and nephews when she babysat, "Debbie's great!" :@
On the front page of today's Hibbing Tribune were two women from my graduating class who had battled cancer this year. It seems everybody is touched in some way by this disease.
I created these little slippers for a friend of a friend. She is a breast cancer survivor who was having a fuzzy slipper kind of week. Hopefully, they will light up her day when she receives them in the mail.
Hats off to all the women currently battling this disease and to those who have won the battle!!
We will never forget those we have lost.
Oooh! That was so nice, Mom!!!
