I'm dreaming of a white.........

February 26 and we're getting the first real snowstorm of the year.  Earlier today I had high hopes that I would get a "snow day" tomorrow and have the luxury of staying home from work.  I pictured myself relaxing in my jammies in front of the fireplace sipping coffee and .......pinning!


View ( from indoors ) around noon today.


Just before dinner, I looked out and the snow had stopped.  Darn.


My groundskeeper ( aka Bill ) shoveled this morning......



and cranked up the snowblower this afternoon.



Just when we thought the snow was done.....

Here we go again!


I just bought my new tow truck yesterday and not a moment too soon!  Eight dollars well spent.

The announcement will be made at 6 am tomorrow.
I'll be listening to the radio with my fingers crossed.  And the coffeepot on.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed for your snow day! This is the winter that never arrived in Kansas City. Today was in the mid 60's and gorgeous! I was able to get to the park and go for a nice long walk with the dog and the park was packed.
    Love that little red tow truck!

    You got the first round and we get the second on Tuesday/Wednesday. They say 5-10". I'll believe it when I see it!

    How fun was this post. I am kinda glad we miss the snow this year but it sure looks pretty. I bet you get that snow day. Love the toys!

    Last week we had a 77degree day and today was pretty warm also! I think we're skipping winter this year.

    I'm a little bit jealous! We haven't had any snow this year. It tried a few days ago, but the wind was so bad that it was mostly a dirt storm.

    Seeing snow sounds like fun to me. I've been wanting snow all winter but just a light dusting so far. We very seldom get more than a couple inches once or twice a year. In fact, the temperature is supposed to be near 70 on Tues. Your red truck reminds me of the one my Mom has from looooong ago in her childhood. (hope she doesn't see this). She also has a metal airplane from that time. She was a little Suzy homemaker from early on so I never understood why she had those toys. It seems out of character for her. I will show her this cute one of yours to bring back sweet childhood memories. Try to stay warm!!

    I remember going into my 14 yr olds room to turn off the alarm because of a foot of snow that caused school cancellation...he looked at me, smiled and said ..this day is starting out to be a perfect 10!!!!
