Spring in my step.

There's nothing like sun shining through the windows
and snow melting outside to put a spring in my step!

I planted spring flowers on the secretary.

I'm not sure why I need a child's shirt hanging
in the dining room, but there it is.

Sweet embroidered birds.  I guess that's why!

Tea time.

Child's tea set in the colors of spring.

I replaced Valentine reds with bright green porcelain pieces.

Bejeweled March angel.

I love the bright green tulips from Michaels and
I'm sorry I didn't buy more of them last year.

Close-up of the hand painted flowers on my green tole tray.

Somehow I've managed to keep these flowers alive year after year.  :)

I don't have any bright green linens,
so I hung fabric remnants on my ladder.

Little Miss Sunshine is wearing a tattered green dress,
so she's been invited to the Spring Fling.

Do you see that light shining on the table?
Sunshine!!

Do you want to know what would really put a spring in my step?

This indoor/outdoor rug from Overstock.com!
If I could buy a different rug for every season, this would be my spring rug.
Since that's not an option, either of the two pictured below
would be perfect all year 'round.

I didn't want to put up window treatments, but the room
doesn't feel complete without them.

I foolishly got rid of these window treatments when I painted the room,
and now I'll be making them a second time with a slightly different fabric.  ugh
I bought the fabric before Christmas and it's still in the bag.
I'm looking forward to sunny days ahead to motivate me.

I hope the sun is shining down on you today!
Vickie

  1. Holy cow, spring is upon us. Finally! You know, if the hubby gets a little messy with his dinner he can always use the child's shirt for a napkin. And THAT is why I have nothing pretty hanging within arms reach in my dining room :)
