It's one o'clock in the morning and I'm writing a blog post.
And I have to work tomorrow.
I'll be sorry.
A storm blew through and knocked out our power at 8:30, well I guess it was last night.
We had just finished installing the window air conditioner units (so attractive) and the house
was finally starting to cool off when out went the power! Poof!
No lights. No TV. No internet.
No lights. No TV. No internet.
Nothing to do but go to sleep.
Now I'm wide awake!
May as well write my 4th of July post.
Little flag adorns a flower basket attached to my latest find.
More on that later.
Here it is....
I've painted my boat a nice cherry red and given it a name.
As you can see below the car's still waiting for a new wheel.
Tracy at Crow's Feet Chic correctly guessed what I named it.
Thayer IV after Norman and Ethel's boat from my favorite movie "On Golden Pond".
Your check's in the mail Tracy. :@
As you know, I like to spend my time above water in my kayak.
But if I were curious to see what lurks beneath the surface,
I've got just the equipment I need.
I decorated my gate with these vintage flippers and mask
in patriotic colors perfect for a 4th of July welcome.
All I need is a vintage swimsuit to complete the package.

Have a safe and fun 4th of July!

ReplyDeleteI love that little sailor boy. All your vignette are so cute. Those power outages are brutal. It was 101 degrees and the power went out where my hubby was so he headed up north to met me at the cottage where is was a blissful 70 degrees. Hope things stay cool, Laura
